Tanoshii Ramen – Dallas, TX

Deep in Deep Ellum, you will find this very contemporary ramen bar. (Actually it’s very easy to find :))

The shop feature distinctive art deco of Dallas’ Deep Ellum. Check out the wall art in and outside.

Of course, the ramen is legit, great broth and chashu pork at very reasonable price.

Tiger Den – Houston, TX

This is a little gem in Houston China Town. Has been opened for a while, always a long waiting line, very reasonable price. Very cool ambiance with a nice bar.

The soup is one of the best, normally ramen soup could be salty, this is one of a few place that I can say they have the right mix.

Other thoughts: They have a wide selection of appertizers, grill shrimp is a good choice, if you feeling adventureous you can get the chief’s special tako wasabi (raw squid with seaweed).
I heard sometime they sold out of noodle, so come early.

JINYA Ramen Bar – Houston, TX

Very new and trendy ramen bar in Houston’s dynamic Mid-Town. Could be the best in Houston.

Very well designed ambiance, good selection of items on menu.

They have chief’s monthly special that will definitely worth coming back for.

I realized it’s a chains with locations across the U.S. Highly recommend you to check them out if they are in your area.

Other thoughts:
Spicy Miso is really spicy. I can take spicy food well and still feel it’s a bit much. So be careful.
Their curry rice is top notch. Denifitely Japanese style curry. And only cost $4.5 more to add curry rice and salad to your combo.

3500+ Yelp reviews cannot lies. Argurably the best in the U.S.
I was brought here by our best friend. The line was so long that we had to go for a coffe and come back.

Kyoto Ramen Alley – Kyoto Station, JP

Japanese pioneered the concept of train, subway station combined with department stores, entertainments and dining, brining maximum convenient to the people.

In this massive 15 stories building (2nd largest in Japan), 20MM people passed by every month. Located on 10th floor is Kyoto Ramen Alley (or Kyoto Ramen Koji). A collection of 8 ramen restaurants from northern Sapporo to southern Hakata style.

People comes to Kyoto for temples and sakura, I feel just as happy here 🙂

Paradise Dynasty – SIN Airport, Singapore

      

Well, not really ramen, but lian mian, soup noodle from north west China. It’s very good though.

Must try the Xiao Long Bao (little meat bun) the quality it top notch.
Good atmosphere, SIN airport is very fancy.
Paradise is a very well establish brand and has many different stores in Singapore.

      Great place for ramen. Usually long line in the weekend, but arguably one of the best in the U.S. 1000+ reviews on Yelp at the time of writing.
